Free Personal Finance Management
![]()
I have just completed my taxes (Nothing like waiting until the last minute) and I found myself wishing I had some sort of budget program. I am intimidated by most of them because I do not want to become a small business accountant just to manage my finances.
I took a look around the net and found the following programs. Most of these are free and seem to fit the bill as to what I need. Although, I am leaning towards Quicken due to the popularity and support.
Let me know your experience and also if you have a favorite that I missed.

Yodlee rocks if you live online, but I’m biased. You can aggregate all of your accounts and setup budgets for the various spending categories. Yodlee will continue to update and categorize data for you, even when your computer is shutdown. Setup some budgeting alerts, and as you approach your spending limits in your budge, you’ll be notified via e-mail and can watch you spending a little closer.

I use a free one http://www.expenseregister.com
It is free too and has a nice and easy interface. I have been using it for a few months now and have not become an accountant!
