ClearCheckbook.com - Totally Free Online Checkbook Register and Balancing
Programs such as MS Money and Quicken often have many features that are only used by professional money managers. For the rest of use there is ClearCheckBook.
Oh, did I mention that is FREE ?
From the Site
A lot of people ask us what separates ClearCheckbook from other websites or software that are supposed to help you manage your money. Microsoft Money and Quicken are so packed full of useless features that most people get so frustrated they don’t even use it. Excel is good for keeping track of some withdrawals and deposits, but as soon as you start adding categories or multiple accounts, it all breaks down. Other websites like Mvelopes.com charge you outrageous amounts of money so you can manage your finances. Paper checkbook registers require you to do a lot of math just to try and keep things balanced.
I have been looking at this and it seem promising. The best feature is the “CheckBot”. Send in your expenses over the cell phone while on the road. CheckBot uses SMS and AIM. Pretty Cool !
The only concern I have is the security of my accounts and other information. I will be looking more into the security aspects and let you know.
To your success

Isnt ClearCheckbook.com the one thats having security issue’s right now?
I downloaded it a few days ago got all my checkbook register filled out and went back in today to add more entries and i tried 4 times to log in and keep coming up with a error message that says “do not use, has security vilations”
Please let me know, as i liked the program and im now currently looking for a different checkbook register to use.
Thank you,
Donna

I use clearcheckbook.com and they lapsed on the SSL certificate on Feb 28th, it has since been renewed. The reason you saw the error was because their SSL certificate was expired. I have used this website for a few months and regarding the security you really dont have much to lose… You dont put in any account information or CC# so if somebody stole the data they would have nothing useful to steal
